Yeah, my brother's 6'3-1/2" and my dad's 6'2" - I feel short next to them.

Marriage ruins the best of friendships.
Lots of luck to a couple of swell people.

So far, so good Smiley

As I expected, nothing has changed between us. My parents are pretty danged happy about it, though.

Did great last winter. I'm just catching up on maintenance. My best friend & her husband are not mechanical in any way; they have to take it to someone to have stuff done, so regular wear items get lost in the shuffle.

At least this summer hasn't been nearly as nasty as last summer. We had something like 12 days over 100° and 20 days just below 100° last summer.

Sam made a custom air baffle thing for the generator so the cooling air doesn't exit straight down any more. It's a buttload quieter now. Guess I'll have to get a pic of it...hmmm.

Oh, and Sam & I were married in April, so i can't call him the bf any more Wink

In the meantime, I've replaced the sway bar end links and bushings, rebuilt the front driveshaft CV joint and replaced the passenger front wheel hub/bearing assembly. Shocks and quickstruts still to be installed.

CV head, before:

After:

End link after

Bushing after:

New bearing (Timken)

New vs old (OEM)

And a new belt and tensioner/idler assembly

Got her good!

Just fine, Charlie. Until this incredibly stupid winter goes away, no work on the Jeep. We're about to get slammed with more tomorrow into Mon Sad

I have quick struts, sway bar bushings & end links for the front, shocks and parking brake shoes & hardware for the rear. And front driveshaft CV head to replace. Plus, of course, to bolt up the skids.

And none of it will get done until the snow, ice and cold disappears.

Working on it Wink

Got a couple coats of paint on the skids…

Yesterday, the bf cleaned, degreased and lightly sandblasted the Mopar skids, then put a light coat of rust converter on.

Today, put dark primer on and let each side bake in the sun. Tomorrow, will start putting coats of Rustoleum Professional gloss on.

Now that would irritate the hell out of me. Must have tunes.

Swapped out the RBK headunit for an RAZ headunit. Cassette adapter backup for Sirius or iPod in case the box takes a dump, plus easier bass/treble and fade/balance controls.
